Set up your calendar in Thunderbird
1. Log in to your webmail – mail.yourdomain.se
2. Click on the calendar and then click the little wheel at the bottom left (next to the minus sign)
3. There you have your calendar’s address – which varies depending on which way you want to access it. You can also create multiple calendars for different types of events. You create one by clicking on the “plus sign”.
4. For Thunderbird you should use the address where it says Mozilla Sunbird/Thunderbird. Copy it.
5. Thunderbird does not come with its own calendar, so therefore you have to install a so-called “add on”. Click on “tools” and “add-ons” and on the top “Seach for add-ons”. You’re looking for Lightning and install the latest version. This gives you very capable calendar in Thunderbird.
6. Open your calendar and in the white bar on the left side, right-click – and click create new calendar.
7. Follow the instructions. You choose On the network, CalDAV and copy address to your calendar when it asks for ”location”.
8. You are now ready to use your calendar in Thunderbird. You can choose to have multiple calendars and categorize your appointments based for example if you share a calendar with colleagues or not.
If you want to share your calendar with others, you put email addresses in ”Manage Calendar Access”. Everyone that gets access to it can see everything you have there.
